E.GO S.r.l., a Florentine company specialized in the construction of automatic lines for the production of electric motors founded in 2010 by Marco Santandrea, has opened its capital to the entry of a new strategic partner, VBS s.r.l. from Reggio Emilia, an investment holding company of Eng. Vittorio Cavirani, co-founder and former partner of Elettric 80 s.p.a., with a long entrepreneurial experience in the world of mechanical automation.
Through a mixed capital increase and share purchase operation, VBS has acquired 60% of E.GO S.r.l., while founder Marco Santandrea will continue to hold 40% and lead the company as CEO.
With this operation of E.GO, the industrial capacity is obtained, thanks to all the competence, expertise and capital of the VBS part.
Marco Santandrea stated: “It is a very important step for our company to open the capital to an industrial partner with great experience and competence who has chosen to invest in us and in our people to support our growth. A special thanks to all the employees and collaborators who have allowed us to get this far and who will be at our side in this new “season” of growth. We are certain that with the support of our new partner we will be even more capable of satisfying the needs of our customers in Italy and abroad.”
Eng. Vittorio Cavirani stated: “E.GO and its founder Marco Santandrea have gained great experience over the years in the design and construction of automatic lines for the production of electric motors and the company is now a platform with great potential. We are very happy to be able to join forces with Marco to start a new phase of development of the company. His role will be crucial in achieving future results and we will be at his side to support him in this challenge.”
E.GO and VBS were assisted in this association as exclusive financial advisor by Equita Mid Cap Advisory, with a team composed of Giuseppe R. Grasso and Mario F. Grasso.
For the legal aspects, the company and VBS were advised by the lawyer Alberto Calvi di Coenzo of Avvocatidiimpresa and Marco Santandrea by the lawyer Gabriele Tremolanti of Tremolanti Law firm.
